Happy Monday, Reader! Connecting in person and building community has always been my jam. As I sit here and write this (no AI!), I'm reminiscent of all the communities I've built in my 20+ years in beauty. From the NYC Makeup Artist Meetup Group (connecting MUAs and hairstylists), to my Beauty Collective dinners (corporate beauty folks), and now my Esty Meetups since 2023, I always needed connections to thrive in every chapter of my career. As I dive more into content creation, I'm connecting all the dots in my previous lives to where I am now. Some of you have stayed on since my jobs at L'Oreal USA over 10 years ago, and I'm so grateful you've stuck around with my ever evolving chapters! Have you dived into all your previous lives before your current role now? Have you reflected on how each setback (or set up) prepared you for where you are now? Thriving and loving life? Or needing a push in the right direction? For me, it's a bit of both. I love where I am right now (as I sit on my sectional sofa in our brand new home), but have had moments thinking, "is this coaching/consulting biz still worth it?" or "I've been an entrepreneur since forever, when am I going to get the million-dollar exit?" Even though I haven't founded a traditional company that sells tangible products, I'm still crazy passionate about the esthetics industry and where we are going. I want to continue to serve you all with relevant insights and share my journey as I figure this all out. As to where it will lead me in 2-5 years, we shall see! I know where I want to go, but some goals are better off moving towards in silence 😉. An update on the Esty Meetup! If you're in a phase of figuring out what's next, or want some extra connection in this industry, I invite you to come through and celebrate National Esthetician Day with your fellow peers next Thursday, October 15th! We're meeting up over drinks and appetizers to connect and celebrate ourselves for making it in the industry! This is great for anyone who's starting out or a veteran, where you can share stories and create some meaningful friendships along the way. Grab your tickets here: https://estycelebration.eventbrite.com. Btw, our support group is tonight!I'm so horrible at promoting my monthly calls! Believe me, there's so much I need to revise in my biz so people can learn more about me automatically! But every time I host these calls, I feel so encouraged and ready to take on the world! Join me for an honest discussion on our careers and businesses...what are you working on this 4th quarter (October, November and December)? How do you want to end 2026 on? 👉🏼 Sign up here (and set an alarm for today at 8p EST!) https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/a-w4FEChR4KXW34B-phXTQ With that, I hope you're able to come to our in-person meetup or say hi at this evening's support group! Have a great week! And you may (or may not) receive another email with my latest YouTube vid (that I still need to edit!). With love, Genevieve Santos-Bann @gensantosbann (IG) | TikTok | YouTube P.S. I'm hosting 2 events! The Esty Meetup on 10/15 and our monthly online support group tonight at 8pm EST! Come throughhhhhhh! |

Hey Reader, The next Esty Meetup is happening on March 23rd in NYC, and I can’t wait to see you there! If you’re heading to IECSC, this is the perfect way to wrap up the weekend—connecting with fellow estheticians, sharing insights, and growing together. But that’s not all… I’m thrilled to announce our amazing co-hosts for this event! E'toshia McFarland (@facesbyetosh) – My Esty-bestie from South Carolina! She'll be speaking at the IECSC show so naturally I had to ask her to co-host with me!...
Hi Reader, Can you believe we're 6 weeks into 2025 already?! And if that's not freaking you out yet, trade show season is fast approaching!!! If you’re heading to the IECSC trade show in NYC, you won’t want to miss our next Esty Meetup happening right after! Let’s unwind, connect, and talk all things esthetics in a space designed just for us. Every Esty Meetup comes with a great gift bag, so make sure you're one of the first 50 guests to arrive! I'll be announcing the co-hosts and gift bag...
Reader, if you’re just starting out as an esthetician, building a client base can feel overwhelming. One great way to gain experience, build relationships, and get your name out there is by hosting a spa pop-up. Pop-ups give you the chance to: Showcase your skills in a fun, low-pressure environment Collaborate with local businesses or events Get face time with potential clients who may book with you later But here's the thing: just throwing together a pop-up isn’t enough—you need a thoughtful...
