Can you make a difference on Giving Tuesday?

Reader, I'll be honest with you... When I was coming up with my holiday marketing, the last thing on my mind was giving back. Why should I think of charity when I'm giving so much in my business? As you know, being an esthetician is a 24/7 job and I barely have time for myself. Now that the Black Friday hoopla is (almost) over, I had time to think about how I wanted to give back. Whenever I earn sales, I have a plan for saving and spending, but not for giving. I strongly believe that the Universe hears you when you donate time or money to a charitable cause close to your heart. One of those causes close to my heart is youth entrepreneurship. I started my first business at 17, having taken a MBA-like course during the summer through the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, a non-profit that teaches the entrepreneurial mindset to teens around the world. 20+ years later, I continue to stay involved as an alumnus, whether it's judging their business plan competitions or being a guest speaker. The founder of the organization, Steve Mariotti, recently passed away. His 30-year legacy as an educator and mentor for thousands of teens through NFTE still remains relevant today. I'd love to support by donating to the Steve Mariotti Legacy Fund, which will support NFTE alumni and their Certified Entrepreneurship Teachers further the mission of teaching entrepreneurship to teens from low-income communities around the world.
